Plant Controller - Botlek, Maasvlakte (soms rotterdam of moerdijk)
Supporting the cost accounting, analysis, reporting and internal control coordination activities for all aspects of the entire site
Develop and maintain a standard monthly reporting and analysis package that covers fixed and variable costs for timely, focused, decision oriented performance reporting.
Supporting the financial budget- and forecasting processes at the plant, covering Fixed and Variable costs
Interact with the various internal customers including plant management, operations, supply chain, segment controlling, general accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, internal controls and audit to ensure financial developments and implications are reviewed and understood in support of the decision making process
Cooperation with auditors and external consultants in regards of internal and external audits (SOx) respectively projects.
For site’s storage locations, coordinates execution of and compliance with volume control procedures. Performs monthly inventory variation reporting and is responsible for monthly closing stock monitoring
Controlling and analysis of all postings re site utilities, handle / distribution costs, volumetric variance, and unit price analysis to ensure appropriate volume/costs and correct allocation to the production units at the site.

Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting & Finance.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Accounting and/or Controlling
Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP & local statutory norms
Petro-Chemicals Businesses processes knowledge
Expertise in SAP (FI; CO; MM) and MS Office
High analytical capacity
Proactivity and flexibility with a strong drive and a can do attitude
Ability to transform data into actionable information
Drill-down capacity/attention to detail
Fluent spoken and written English
Local Language at the Site (Dutch)
The Contractor Plant Controlling support the Manager Plant Controlling as the competent financial dialogue partner for the Site management providing value added support through timely, high quality and leveraging information & insight to optimize financial performance.
This position is based at the site and routinely interacts with internal customers, operations, supply chain, segment controlling, general accounting, inventory accounting fixed asset accounting, internal controls and audit.
Key activities include monthly performance reporting on variable and fixed costs, support of the annual budget exercise, monthly forecast updates in order to closely monitor, project and manage manufacturing cost performance and internal control support activities for all aspects of the entire site operations.
Incumbent is expected to have strong manufacturing acumen, a “hands-on” attitude, is result oriented and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The Contractor Plant Controlling reports to the Manager Plant Controlling who is responsible for multiple or large manufacturing sites within a region.
